Solar Workforce supplied by TradeConnex

Hiring solar workforce through TradeConnex

Solar farms are usually remote, run to tight installation rates and need large crews that stay for the whole build. Keeping those numbers up is the hard part. We’ve supplied crews from the first piles through to mechanical installation, module installation and rectification.

Some of the larger builds: 200 talent at Merredin Solar Farm, about 260km east of Perth; 120 at Maryrorough Solar Farm in the Darling Downs; 100 at Aldoga Solar Farm near Gladstone, supporting piling and installation; and a 100-strong team at Blue Grass Solar Farm near Chinchilla that installed more than 67,500 piles. At Oakey 2 we provided more than 90 talent for mechanical rectification work.

Our crews have installed NexTracker, ATI, Array Technologies, Arctech and Ideematec tracker systems. Beyond solar labourers and operators, we’ve supplied trade assistants, HSE advisors, store personnel and QA teams, and at Cunderdin Solar Farm in WA we arranged accommodation and transport for the crew.

We also supply commercial solar installers, such as the solar panel installers we placed on Arnott’s distribution centre in Western Sydney, and crews for battery storage packages like the one at Western Downs Solar Farm. See more of our utility-scale solar work.
