Labour hire for Gladstone and its industrial region. TradeConnex placed 100 talent on Aldoga Solar Farm, about 20km north-west of the city, for piling and installation works, and supplies labourers, plant operators and trades to civil and industrial sites.
Gladstone is one of Queensland’s main industrial centres, built around its deep-water port, alumina and aluminium production and LNG processing on Curtis Island. Large-scale renewable energy is now part of the mix.
At Aldoga Solar Farm, about 20km north-west of Gladstone, we placed 100 talent between July 2024 and February 2025 to support piling and installation through the construction phase. The crew included solar labourers, plant operators and an HD mechanic, and they helped install more than 65,000 piles, 5,500 trackers and 430,000 panels across a site of over 1,100 hectares. With up to 480MW of capacity, it is one of Queensland’s largest solar builds.
Keeping a crew that size performing consistently across a multi-stage site took careful coordination and steady workforce management. We bring the same approach to industrial and civil work around the harbour, Boyne Island and Calliope. Every person is screened in three stages and holds a White Card before we put them forward.

Talent arrives with the PPE the job needs and their tickets confirmed: White Card, high-risk work licences, plant tickets or RIW accreditation.
A minimum of four hours per day per person, from short-term cover to full project durations, with the option to take talent on permanently.

Everyone put forward for construction work holds a White Card. For scaffolding, rigging or dogging we check the person holds the right High Risk Work Licence, and for plant roles, the tickets for the machine.
At least four hours per day. From there, book for a few days, a set period or the full build. Talent can also move into permanent roles, and we run permanent recruitment.
