Much of Western Australia’s project work happens a long way from the city. The Wheatbelt east of Perth has become a base for utility-scale solar, and the south of the state has major mining operations. TradeConnex has supplied talent to both.
At Merredin Solar Farm, a 132MW DC build about 260km east of Perth, we supplied 200 talent for Monford and Risen Energy between September 2019 and January 2020, including skid steer operators, telehandler operators, quality assurance teams and skilled labourers. Closer to the city, at Cunderdin Solar Farm, a 128MW DC system with a 55MW / 220MWh battery for Global Power Generation Australia, we provided more than 40 skilled labourers for mechanical and electrical work and arranged their accommodation and transport.
When the Ravensthorpe nickel operation restarted in late 2020, we supplied machine operators, electricians and scaffolders while the site worked under pandemic health and safety rules.

Candidates are screened on site experience, interviewed face to face and reference checked. Everyone we put forward for construction work holds a White Card, and we confirm high risk work licences, plant tickets or a WA electrical licence where the job calls for one.
