Huntingwood
Factories and warehouses between the M4 and the Great Western Highway, including Arnott's biscuit plant. Our crew on the Arnott's distribution centre covered general labouring, work at heights and solar installation.
Labour hire for the City of Blacktown's warehouse estates, factories and new suburbs, from Huntingwood and Eastern Creek up to Marsden Park. We put 34 talent on the Arnott's distribution centre build at Huntingwood, including solar installers and working-at-heights labourers.
Much of the construction in the City of Blacktown is big-shed work: distribution centres, cold stores and factories on the industrial estates that line the M4 and M7. These builds move quickly from earthworks to slabs, steel frames and roofing, then into services and fit-out, and the mix of people on site changes at each stage.
At Huntingwood we supplied 34 talent to the Arnott’s automated distribution centre, built next to Arnott’s main biscuit factory between March and August 2023. Our crew included general labourers, working-at-heights labourers and solar panel installers.
North of the M7, Marsden Park and the north-west growth area add a second strand of work: roads, drainage and utilities for new estates, followed by housing, schools and shops. In the older suburbs around the Blacktown city centre, there’s apartment, health and retail building.
The M4, M7 and Great Western Highway make the industrial estates easy to reach by car, but many are a fair walk from the nearest station, so tell us if a site is hard to reach without a car. For more on this kind of work, see industrial construction.
