Mildura is the main centre of the Sunraysia, the irrigated horticulture district along the Murray in north-west Victoria and south-west NSW. Flat, open land and long sunny days have drawn large solar farms to the district, on top of the building and civil work that comes with a growing regional city.
We have supplied crews to two of those solar farms. At Wemen Solar Farm, about an hour from Mildura, we placed 30 talent for RCR Infrastructure and Wirsol in 2018, through labour hire and our own panel installation teams. Excavator, skid steer and telehandler operators, QA teams and skilled labourers helped set up the 110MWp single-axis tracking site on the Nex Tracker system. The following year, across the river near Balranald, 20 of our people installed panels at Sunraysia Solar Farm for Straightline and Decmil, a 255MW (DC) project.

Talent arrives with the PPE the job needs and their tickets confirmed: White Card, high-risk work licences, plant tickets or RIW accreditation.
A minimum of four hours per day per person, from short-term cover to full project durations, with the option to take talent on permanently.

Each person passes three-stage screening (site experience screen, face-to-face interview, reference checks) and holds a White Card for construction work. We confirm plant tickets and any licence the job needs before the start date.
Bookings are a minimum of four hours per day, then can run for days, weeks or the length of the project.
