Karratha is one of the Pilbara’s main centres and the base for heavy industry on the Burrup Peninsula and around Dampier, from gas processing to ammonia production and port operations. Sites are remote, the heat is hard on people and plant, and inductions and tickets are strictly enforced, so anyone you bring in needs to be ready for those conditions.
From May to December 2024, TradeConnex supplied more than 15 skilled talent to the Yuri Renewable Hydrogen Project, a first-of-its-kind development at Karratha. Yuri combines an 18MW solar PV system, a 10MW electrolyser and an 8MW battery energy storage system to produce 640 tonnes of renewable hydrogen a year, which goes to Yara’s ammonia facility. Our people supported installation and setup, and we handled the logistics of getting them to a remote site when they were needed, with all safety requirements met.

Everyone we put forward for construction work holds a White Card. Before anyone mobilises, we confirm the high risk work licences, plant tickets, electrical licence or site inductions your project needs.
