Parramatta has two kinds of construction going on at once. In the city centre, towers and public buildings go up on tight blocks hemmed in by traffic, footpaths and the light rail. Out from the centre, there’s hospital and research work at Westmead, older industrial land along the river at Rydalmere and Camellia, and steady infill housing through Granville and North Parramatta.
Our main project here was the Parramatta Light Rail. Working with Transport for NSW, we sourced more than 100 talent for the 12km line, including machine operators, electricians and scaffolding crews. Part of the job was converting an existing heavy rail line into dual-track light rail.
We also supplied more than 100 talent across four clients on WestConnex, the motorway network that starts at the M4 at Parramatta. That work was on sections further east: the M4 tunnel, the M5, the M8 and the M4-M5 Link.
For a CBD site, tell us about loading zones, hoist access and permitted work hours when you book. Parramatta station and the M4 put the city centre within easy reach for talent coming from across Sydney, which helps when a crew needs to grow quickly. More on the wider region is on our Western Sydney page.
