TradeConnex talent on a utilities project

How we crew utilities projects

Utility projects usually run civil and electrical packages side by side, often on sites a long way from a major town. We supply the mix both packages need: general labourers, plant operators, riggers and dogmen, formwork carpenters and electrical trade assistants.

At Dinawan Substation, part of Project EnergyConnect in the Riverina, we placed 22 talent between April 2024 and March 2026. They covered watercart, excavator and posi track operation, concrete finishing, formwork, electrical trade assistance and site support. In Western Australia we provided continuous labour hire for the restart of the Ravensthorpe Nickel Mine from December 2020, supplying machine operators, electricians and scaffolders who worked under pandemic health and safety rules.

Yes. We supply electricians and electrical trade assistants alongside civil labourers and plant operators. Electricians are only put forward with the state electrical licence the work requires.

Anyone we send to a construction site holds a White Card. For crane work we supply riggers and dogmen with the matching High Risk Work Licence, such as Dogging (DG), and we confirm plant tickets, Working at Heights or Confined Space Entry where the site needs them.

Each candidate is screened on site experience, interviewed face to face and reference checked before we put them forward. For roles you want to hire directly, we also run permanent recruitment.
