The Munna Creek Solar Farm is a 150MW solar project located near Gympie, Queensland. Spanning approximately 467 hectares and made up of over 255,000 solar panels, the project produces enough clean energy to power more than 41,000 Australian homes every year.
Building a solar farm of this size in a remote location, across difficult terrain and in extreme weather conditions, made finding and keeping a reliable workforce one of the project’s biggest challenges. TradeConnex stepped in to help, placing over 150 workers on site throughout the construction period. The team included solar labourers, plant operators, Trade Assistants (mechanical and electrical), HSE Advisors, store personnel and junior project management support.
With so many panels to install across such a large and demanding site, having the right people in place at the right time was essential. TradeConnex worked to make sure the workforce stayed consistent and well-supported from start to finish, helping the project move forward safely and on schedule. Munna Creek is a great example of how the right workforce partner can make a real difference on a complex renewable energy build.
