Sydney Metro

Sydney’s Metro project is transforming public transport in Sydney. With plans to connect the Central Business District with suburbs in the West, Northwest, Southwest and the upcoming Western Sydney airport, Sydney’s Metro line aims to enhance commuter travel and open up the CBD to Greater Sydney

Sydney Metro is making locations more accessible by putting a new, automated travel system in place.

The Sydney Metro rail network plans to add a new wait-free transportation service by integrating itself with the existing NSW transport services — buses, trains and light rail. Following the same convenient payment methods of self-tapping cards, Sydney Metro West, Northwest and Southwest will make suburban travel more accessible to daily commuters and tourists by laying the foundation for Australia’s first driverless railway.

The revolutionary Sydney Metro — Western Sydney Airport project

The Sydney Metro line is the biggest public transport project in Australia. Spanning 66 kilometres, the metro rail network will make the commute to over 31 metro stations easier. Set for a 2024 completion date, the Sydney Metro will see underground tunnel systems throughout different city regions, including the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

To build a modern and driverless rail network, the Sydney Metro project required intensive construction and labourer input from its early works phase in 2017. Operators, construction and electric specialists were required on a massive scale to ensure the development of improved interchange facilities, enhanced CCTV surveillance, secure platform screen doors and minimal gapping between platforms and trains.

The Sydney Metro phases required a vast amount of expert contractors to take these projects from vision to execution. Once completed, the complete system will upgrade inner-city travel by making daily travel easier for the residents of the Western, South-Western, and North-Western suburbs. The Sydney Metro’s goals are to provide commuters with an air-conditioned metro train every four minutes and direct services to Martin Place, Barangaroo, North Sydney, Chatswood, Macquarie Park and Western Sydney Airport.
This is where TradeConnex’s specialisation came into effect.

Specialist recruitment for Sydney’s Metro line

At TradeConnex, we are proud to have been a part of the Sydney Metro West project.  To date, we have provided over 100 workers and support staff and are currently still a part of recruiting for Sydney Metro jobs in the ongoing construction of this massive transport system. We work across various industries, project sectors, and sections of the completed Sydney Metro line routes and the ongoing Sydney Metro West project.

The city-wide Sydney Metro project required us to recruit on a large scale across different sectors, including expert machine operations, electricians, and general labourers. It was crucial to source the right team members with various skill sets to get the first phases of the Sydney Metro line routes and stations working in time. The accessible and contemporary rail network ensures full mobile coverage, upgraded concourses and platforms, and station wayfinding and signage system design improvements.
We are proud to have been a part of the Sydney Metro line and our ongoing contribution to the upcoming Sydney Metro West project, which will connect the upcoming Western Sydney International Airport and its surrounding regions.
