The Cunderdin Solar Farm, a 128 MW DC photovoltaic solar system, is a significant addition to Western Australia’s renewable energy landscape.
Spanning 165 hectares, the Cunderdin Solar Farm incorporates a 55 MW / 220 MWh battery energy storage system and is crucial for Western Australia’s renewable energy future. It generates 200 GWh of clean energy annually, displacing fossil fuels and preventing the release of 145,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide, an environmental benefit comparable to planting millions of trees.
The careful planning and effective workforce management required for this large solar farm in Cunderdin saw TradeConnex play a vital role by providing over 40 skilled labourers for mechanical and electrical work. TradeConnex also enhanced efficiency and the work environment by arranging worker accommodation and transportation, demonstrating the importance of a well-supported workforce in achieving renewable energy goals through the successful integration of solar technology and skilled labour.
