Project Overview at Dinawan Substation
The Dinawan Substation is a major energy infrastructure project delivered as part of Project EnergyConnect, one of Australia’s largest electricity transmission projects. Located in the Riverina region of New South Wales, the substation plays a critical role in connecting the power grids of New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia, enabling large-scale renewable energy to flow into the National Electricity Market.
Civil and Electrical Workforce Support
TradeConnex was brought on to support civil and electrical works throughout the construction phase, placing 22 workers on site across key stages of the build. The team covered a wide range of roles including electrical Trade Assistants, watercart and excavator operators, rigger/dogmen, posi track operators, concrete finishers, formwork carpenters, general labourers and site support staff.
Working across a complex and remote project environment, our workers contributed to safe and consistent delivery across both civil and electrical packages. The Dinawan Substation is a strong example of TradeConnex’s ability to supply a diverse mix of trades and labour to support critical energy infrastructure, not just solar, but the broader network that makes renewable energy work at scale.
