Project Overview at West Wyalong Solar Farm
The West Wyalong Solar Farm is a 107MWdc solar project spanning approximately 280 hectares in regional New South Wales. Now fully operational, it generates 238,000MWh of clean electricity every year, enough to power around 39,600 homes annually while saving 190,400 metric tonnes of carbon emissions, the equivalent of taking 63,400 petrol-powered vehicles off the road each year.
Workforce and Logistics Support
TradeConnex supplied over 80 workers across the construction phase, supporting everything from site preparation through to electrical installation. Given the remote location, our team also arranged worker transportation and sourced accommodation within a 45-minute radius of the site to keep operations running smoothly and on schedule. Roles supplied included:
- Piling and excavator operators
- Telehandler, skidsteer and forklift operators
- Module installers and electricians
- HC drivers
- General labourers and Trade Assistants
- Site Administrators
- HSE Advisors
West Wyalong is a strong example of TradeConnex going beyond simply filling roles, managing the practical challenges of remote project delivery to make sure the right people were on site, on time, every day.
