The Blue Grass Solar Farm is a 200MW farm located 14km away from Chinchilla in the Western Downs Regional council area in Queensland Australia.
The farm will offset more than 320,000t of CO₂ emissions a year which is equivalent to planting more than five million trees or offsetting the emissions generated by 130,000 vehicles! By 2022 the Solar facility will produce 420GWh green electricity a year which is sufficient power to service 80,000 Queensland homes.
TradeConnex provided a talented team of 100 workers to the Bluegrass Solar Farm which installed over 67,500 piles onsite. TradeConnex supplied a variety of skilled industry professionals which included mechanics, welders, excavator operators, piling rig operators, telehandler operators, skiller labourers, quality assurance teams and a HSE advisor to name a few. The company also provided an onsite vehicle for on-site transportation of workers.
