Job description:

The Project
A major utility-scale solar farm in Western Australia is entering a key delivery phase. We're seeking an experienced Senior HSE Adviser to take ownership of the HSE function on site and help deliver the project safely and to a high standard.

This is a permanent, full-time, site-based role on a 2/1 roster. As a dual role, it also carries responsibility for delivering and assessing safety training, so the right person will be both a strong HSE lead and a capable trainer and assessor.

The Role
Reporting to project leadership, you'll lead the day-to-day HSE function and set the safety standard across the project. You'll be comfortable holding the line on safety while keeping delivery on track.
Your focus will include:
  • Leading day-to-day HSE activities across the project site
  • Promoting and driving a proactive safety culture
  • Supporting project leadership with WHS compliance and risk management
  • Developing and improving HSE systems, procedures and documentation
  • Conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations
  • Reviewing and approving SWMS and risk assessments
  • Delivering inductions, toolbox talks and safety training
  • Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and site personnel
  • Mentoring and supporting junior HSE team members
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the project
About You
You're an established HSE professional with a strong track record on major projects across renewables, resources, mining, civil or utilities. You're credible with both leadership and the workforce, and comfortable delivering and assessing training.
You'll have:
  • Significant senior HSE experience on major projects
  • A relevant WHS / OHS qualification (Diploma, Advanced Diploma or equivalent)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of WA WHS legislation and Australian Standards
  • Experience with ISO 45001 / 9001 / 14001 and accreditation (OFSC highly regarded)
  • A current driver's licence and relevant site tickets
The Offer
  • $180,000 – $200,000 + superannuation
  • Permanent full-time role with long-term project security
  • Stable 2/1 roster with genuine work-life balance
  • Real influence over HSE culture and systems on site
How to Apply

Key Features:

  • Earn $180k-$200k + super on a major renewable energy project
  • Lock in long-term, stable work on a balanced 2/1 roster
  • Own the safety culture on site and make a real impact from day one
