TradeConnex is working with a trusted mechanical install contractor delivering the piling and mechanical scope on a major solar project in regional Queensland. We’re on the lookout for a Junior Site Engineer who’s keen to move beyond the tools and into the project delivery side — while staying hands-on and site based.

About the Role Working closely with the site team and head contractor, you’ll help deliver the mechanical installation package across piling, tracker systems, and module install. You’ll be across planning, quality, safety, and coordination — with plenty of learning on the job.
Key Responsibilities

• Support daily mechanical works including piling, racking, and module installation
• Assist with QA inspections, daily reports, and materials tracking
• Coordinate site access, sequencing and progress updates with the head contractor
• Help manage documentation including ITPs, SWMS, toolbox talks and safety reports
• Contribute to a clean and compliant worksite with safety-first practices
• Be involved in commissioning and close-out works

• You’ve worked on-site before — as a TA, rigger, labourer, or in another support role
• You’re studying or have completed a qualification in Mechanical, Civil or Construction Engineering
• You’re ready to grow — with a solid work ethic, curiosity, and commitment
• You want to stay practical, but start building your project or engineering career
• You’ve got a White Card and full working rights in Australia
