About the Role 
As a QA with TradeConnex, you’ll be an essential part of our team, assisting with various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our projects. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys the satisfaction of seeing a job well done. 
  
What You’ll Do: 

• Inspecting Installation Work
  
  • Conduct routine inspections of mechanical and electrical installations (e.g., panel alignment, racking structures, cable terminations) to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
• Documenting Non-Conformances (NCRs)
  
  • Identify and report defects, incorrect installations, or deviations from drawings using non-conformance reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective actions.
• Reviewing and Verifying QA Checklists
  
  • Ensure that all QA checklists and inspection forms are completed accurately by field teams and supervisors, covering trenching, panel installation, earthing, and final energisation prep.
• Coordinating with Site Supervisors and Subcontractors
  
  • Liaise with construction crews and team leads to ensure rectification work is completed to spec, and confirm sign-offs before commissioning or handover phases.
• Enforcing Compliance with Standards and Procedures
  
  • Ensure all works adhere to project-specific quality management plans, manufacturer guidelines, and relevant Australian Standards (e.g. AS/NZS 5033 for PV arrays).

  
What We’re Looking For: 

• Previous experience in solar construction or Quality Assurance on a solar project.
• Electrical or mechanical trade is highly desirable.
• Civil or structural background may also be acceptable for mechanical QA roles
• A strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards teamwork. 
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges. 
• Commitment to safety and following site regulations. 
• Current OH&S White card.
• experience in nextracker systems and other tracking systems in desirable.
• Availability to start ASAP
