Senior Project Engineer – Client-Side | Utility-Scale Solar Farm | Goulburn River, NSW | DIDO

TradeConnex is proudly partnering with a global renewable energy developer to deliver one of regional NSW’s most significant solar infrastructure projects. We’re seeking a capable and confident Senior Project Engineer to step into a client-side leadership role, overseeing a Tier 1 head contractor and subcontractors on a landmark solar farm at Goulburn River.
 
Location: Goulburn River, NSW (Drive-In Drive-Out)
Position: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: $160,000 – $200,000 + super
Inclusions: On-site accommodation and meals provided
Roster: 9:5 DIDO
 
About the Role
This role offers more than a typical site position. As a client-side Senior Project Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering engineering excellence from pre-construction through to commissioning. You’ll represent the developer’s interests on site, driving compliance, safety, and delivery quality across multiple interfaces.
Your work will directly contribute to a project that supports Australia's clean energy goals and showcases best-practice renewable infrastructure delivery.
 
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the developer on-site across all engineering scopes
- Oversee and review deliverables from the Tier 1 head contractor
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design inputs and subcontractor activities
- Advise on constructibility, staging, and risk mitigation
- Support commissioning teams and ensure interface alignment
- Uphold strict compliance to WHS, QA/QC, and contractual documentation
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to drive timely and high-quality outcomes
- Foster a site culture built on accountability, safety, and excellence
 
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- Proven track record delivering or overseeing utility-scale solar farms
- 5+ years’ experience on major infrastructure or renewable energy projects
- Experience in a client-side or EPC contractor environment is highly regarded
- Skilled in technical coordination, compliance, and contractor management
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work a 9:5 Drive-In Drive-Out roster to Goulburn River, NSW
