About the Role 
As a Diesel Pump Mechanic with TradeConnex, you’ll be an essential part of our team, assisting with various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our projects. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys the satisfaction of seeing a job well done. 
  
What You’ll Do:

•  Oversee daily setup and monitoring of the pit dewatering program   site-wide.
•  Undertake dewatering duties in active mining environments.
•  Perform on-site repairs of pumping systems, diagnosing faults and   implementing solutions.
•  Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in pumps, motors, and   associated components
•  Conduct operational testing (commissioning) of pump systems.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols during all work assignments.
• Ensure area tooling and equipment required for water assets works are in working condition according to the manufacturer's requirements and tested to the site requirements.
• Assembly and installation of mechanical services plant, air handling and conditioning equipment and small bore systems.
• knowledge of building pumps and parts.

  
What We’re Looking For: 

• 2 years experience in a similar role. 
• someone with a Technical trade in Mechanical. (Mandatory) 
• High Risk - WP, LF, DG & RB
• HR/MR Rigid Drivers Licence
• Strong understanding of flow calculations and water dynamics
• National Police Clearance
• Satisfactory Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening.
• Commitment to safety and following site regulations. > Ability to take
• responsibility and be accountable for workload
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a broader team
